Cape Town

Cape Town is the oldest city on the continent of Africa, the second largest city in South Africa by population and according to some the most beautiful city in the world. This is mainly due to the beautiful location in a national park. The city is surrounded by mountains such as the world-famous Table Mountain. Cape Town is vibrant, multicultural, colourful and captivating. The city has a fascinating history in which the Europeans and especially the Dutch have played an important role.

The name Cape Town (Cape Town) comes from its location near the Cape of Good Hope. Originally, the Portuguese, who were here before the Dutch, called this place "Cape of Storms". The Portuguese king later changed this to "Cape of Good Hope" (Cabo da Boa Esperança).

We really can’t overstate the case for visiting Cape Town. Table Mountain, Robben Island, Waterfront and many more must-see sights, but no visit is complete without at least one full day exploring some of the surrounding vine-carpeted valleys!
