Alta de Boa Vista is a neighbourhood in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Christ the Redeemer statue is located in this neighbourhood which is 38 meters high and is located on top of a 710meter high mountain. Alto da Boa Vista is the official residence of the mayor of Rio de Janeiro and has about 20.000 inhabitants.
