If you're looking for a place to get off the beaten path, Hermanus is the place for you. The town of Hermanus is located on the Western Cape coast, approximately midway between Cape Town and Cape Point, and was named after the Dutch teacher Hermanus Pieters that settled there.

Hermanus, South Africa is a small coastal town with a temperate Mediterranean climate. The beach town is best known as a whale-watching town. A lot of people come here to watch whales swim past; there are several whale-watching tours available as well as a festival celebrating this activity every year. It even has a whale crier, who blows his large horn during the whale high season to indicate the locations where whales are being spotted.

A beautiful flight across the mountains at Sir Lowry’s Pass and the famous farms in Elgin, with the countryside and villages at your feet! We’ll pass Hermanus and Stanford and continue to Gansbaai. There, you’ll transfer to a boat for a sea trip to view the famous Great White Sharks. After that, you continue our flight towards Hermanus for a whale-watching trip to Hermanus. We will then return along the spectacular coastline to Cape Town.
