Royal Palace

Royal Palace

The Royal Palace is located on Gamla Stan Island in Stockholm and is one of the largest palaces in Europe.

The Royal Palace is the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden and was designed by the Architekt Nicodemus Tessin and built in Baroque style in the shape of Roman palaces. In the 13th century, the first foundations were laid for this palace, then called Tre Kronor (Three Crowns). In 1697, however, the entire palace was reduced to ashes and construction of the new one began. The entire building was not completed until 1754. The palace has 1,430 rooms, 660 of which have windows, it is 42,000 m² in size. The Royal Palace also contains the Armory, with royal costumes and armour, as well as coronation carriages and magnificent coaches from the Royal Stable. Make sure not to miss the parade of soldiers and the daily changing of the guard.

Vaxholm helicopter flight

Bromma Stockholm Airport

A city trip to Stockholm is not complete without a look outside Stockholm. Because just outside the city limits there is an island empire of about 30,000 islands waiting to be discovered. The archipelago (or skärgården in Swedish) is a collection of islands, skerries and rocks that extends up to 80 km east of the city to the Baltic Sea. In some cases, these are large inhabited islands, which are famous for their swinging summer festivals and beautiful red houses. Other islands are nothing more than abandoned rocky islands, which are only visited by a casual seal or kayaker. Come with us and fly over the backyard from Stockholm to Vaxholm.
