Austria

Once part of a vast European empire, Austria today still mirrors the richness of its past glories. Vienna has long shined as a beacon of classical music, architecture, art… and pastries. Salzburg was the birthplace of Mozart and is home to a whole lot of beautiful buildings. And even though this history is a big part of what makes Austria genuinely great, this landlocked country is much more than history and pretty architecture. Situated in the Alps, Austria is a very popular place with skiers and hikers with a whole lot of stunning scenery to soak up in. Charming towns tucked in sweeping green hillsides topped by craggy peaks, pure mountain air and alpine resorts beckon. Austria is a showcase for just how beautiful the mix history, architecture, mountain scenery, valleys and lakes can be.

Vienna helicopter flight

Stockerau Airport

Just a few moments after the departure of aerodrome Stockerau our tour will lead us along the river Danube and the castle ruin of “Greifenstein”. We will fly over the city of Klosterneuburg with the baroque monastery and its beautiful vineyards. Then we’ll follow the river further to the city of Vienna. We will pass one of the biggest wetlands of middle Europe, which includes a third of the national park “Donau-Auen”. As the journey continues, we will fly over Vienna’s famous fun-park, the “Prater”. From up here we will enjoy the great view over one of the city’s most prominent sights, the “Riesenrad” with its typical red wagons. Vienna’s “Prater” includes not only fun and roller coasters, but also a green oasis in the middle of the city. The “Praterpark” lies just three kilometers from the core of the city and it stands for pure nature, ideal for long walks and an awesome sight from the air. Our sight seeing tour continues with a spectacular view over the “Augarten” with its well-known flak towers and the “Hermannskogel”- with 542 meters Vienna’s highest mountain. Surely one of the biggest highlights of our tour will be the “Donauturm”. With its 252 meters it stands so close to us up in the air that you will think you could reach out and touch its tip while we fly past. On our way back we can relish the magnificence of the Danube vale with its mixed woodlands and the vineyards at “Bisamberg”. We will fly past the imposing castle “Kreuzenstein” and right before the approach for Stockerau aerodrome starts.
